Another good effort but not enough scoring for the Avs, and they lose a tough one 3-1 to Nashville. The game featured 2 goalies playing well, as Rinne or Giguere wouldn't let a goal through the first 2 periods. Matt Duchene got the scoring started in the third, just blowing past all the Predators for a breakaway and beating Rinne. However, the Predators would go on to tie the game 8 minutes in on the PP as Hornqvist scored. The game was tied close to the end of the 3rd, but Legwand would put the Predators up 2-1 with 1:14 left. Paul Gaustad would ice the game into the empty net, and another tough loss keeps the Avs in dead last and close to a top draft pick. Stats were as follows: Shots 37-26 Predators, Predators won 35-60 faceoffs, Avs outhit them 25-14 and Nashville had 16 blocked shots to the Avs 14
Three Stars:
3. Matt Duchene - Scored the lone goal for the Avs, and along with Parenteau Landeskog and O'Reilly seems to be the only players playing consistent for the Avs this season
2. Pekka Rinne - Rinne made 25 saves on 26 shots, and really kept the Predators in this game with several big saves especially when down 1-0
1. David Legwand - Legwand had a goal and an assist, including the game winner late in the 3rd
