Stanley Cup Finals Preview

Stanley Cup Finals:

1. Chicago Blackhawks vs. 4. Boston Bruins

Teams have not played this season, last game they played was October 15, 2011 (3-2 shootout win by Boston)

Players to Watch: CHI - Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith, Corey Crawford, Marian Hossa. BOS - David Krejci, Patrice Bergeron, Tuukka Rask, Jaromir Jagr, Zdeno Chara

X-Factor - PIT - Jonathan Toews. BOS - Zdeno Chara

Notes - This has the making for a legendary Stanley Cup Final, two extremely deep, talented teams that also just happened to be 2 of the last 3 Stanley Cup winners. Bottom line: this is going to be a close, tight series that will leave one team with the Cup and another with a bitter loss. For the Hawks to win they need their stars to perform, most notably Toews, Kane, Hossa and Sharp. They also need Bryan Bickell to keep up his goal scoring production, as well as the pairing of Keith-Seabrook plus the rest of the Hawks D need to step up at both ends. There will be a lot of pressure on Corey Crawford, who's playing in his 1st Stanley Cup, to lead the Hawks. For the Bruins to win they need to keep playing this tough, strong hockey that has got them this far. The top 2 lines of Krejci-Horton-Lucic and Bergeron-Jagr-Marchand need to score more then the Hawks stars, and continue their great play. They also need a great effort from all 6 D, most notably the Chara-Seidenberg pairing will be heavily relied upon. The Bruins also need a strong effort from Tuukka Rask, the best goalie in the playoffs so far. This is going to be a very close series, which could go either way

Prediction - This is a very hard series to predict, but I have been going with Boston all playoffs long so I pick them to win their 2nd Stanley Cup in 3 years

(BRUINS IN 7)
