Three Stars:
Not a lot to comment about this game, didn't watch until the 3rd period but it seems like this was the worst performance of the season. Suddenly the Avs have cooled down really fast, losing 3 straight games getting outscored 13-5. Even worse star C Matt Duchene was injured in the 3rd and didn't return. Duchene has been diagnosed with an oblique injury, the Avs haven't said much else but we will know more tomorrow. Bottom line: The Avs need Duchene for every game, even missing 1 game would hurt this team not to mention if it was a more serious injury.
Three Stars:
3. Tim Thomas - Thomas made 32 saves on 33 shots for the win, and picked up an assist as well
2. Brian Campbell - Campbell scored 1 goal (eventual GWG) and added an assist
1. Tom Gilbert - Gilbert had 3 assists for the Panthers
