The avs played decent in this game, but a bad start got them down early and 3 goals was enough for Edmonton. Young talent was on showcase in this game, as Hall Eberle Landeskog and Mueller all scored for their respective teams. For the avs, Mueller continues to score and has been excellent since returning. Semyon Varlamov was decent in this game, shaky at times but solid at other points stopping 20 of 23 shots. Overall not the best game, hard loss for the avs
Avalanche Three Stars:
3. Ryan O'Reilly - 1 assist, 3 shots and a solid night's work over 21 minutes
2. Peter Mueller - Another goal, his 4th of the season and a solid game
1. Gabriel Landeskog - 11th goal of the season, 4 shots and 4 hits for a great game all around
Misplay of the Game - Varlamov's rebound that lead to the Hall goal, should have never happened and got the avs down for good
Game #53 - The avs continue division play, as they host the Wild on February 2nd (@9pm).
