Game #28 - Chicago 5, Colorado 2

Same old story for the Avs, a slow start and a number of defensive miscues leading to another loss, this time their 4th in a row. The Hawks deserved this game, they owned the Avs from the start to the finish. The Hawks got goals from Hayes (1st NHL goal), Shaw, Kane, Seabrook and Toews while Landeskog (3rd straight game with a goal) and Hejduk scored for the Avs. The Avs just didn't get enough shots, they had good zone time just weren't getting pucks through and got outshot 32-19. On defence they were a complete mess, just an awful effort and left Varlamov out to dry. Big changes are coming in Colorado, whether that is Joe Sacco or GM Greg Sherman, but changes are coming. Not a positive time for the Avs, the season is all but over and are looking towards the draft (Seth Jones please!)

Three Stars:
3. Gabriel Landeskog - 3rd straight game with a goal for Landy, he was one of few players on the Avs skating tonight
2. Patrick Kane - Kane had a goal and 2 assist, and really dominated the Avs tonight
1. Jonathan Toews - Toews was the best player on the ice tonight, getting a goal and 2 assists like his teammate Kane

Avalanche Misplay of the Game - Hejda's turnover leading to the first Hawks goal, just brutal and led to another bad start

Avalanche Play of the Game - Landeskog's goal gets it tonight, one of few bright spots for the Avs

Game #29 - The Avs look to snap their losing streak with the 1st of a home-and-home with the Dallas Stars on Wednesday night (@930pm)
