I don't have a lot to write about, only saw the 1st period (had my own hockey). The stats show upcoming goaltender Viktor Fasth with another great game, Making 31 saves for his first NHL shutout and improving his record to 4-0 (4 goals allowed). The Avs outshot them 31-20, won 36 of 63 faceoffs, and had 31 hits compared to 7 for Anaheim.
Three Stars:
3. Sheldon Souary - Had a goal and an assist, including the GWG
2. Saku Koivu - Also had a goal and an assist for the Ducks
1. Viktor Fasth - 31 saves, 1st NHL shutout = impressive. Watch out for this guy he could steal the job from Hiller if he keeps it up
Avalanche Misplay of the Night - From what I saw of the 1st period Zanon was awful, caught standing still on one of the goals
Game #11 - Avs play the last game of the 4-game homestand against the Phoenix Coyotes, with a big wait until Monday (4 days). The Avs are looking terrible right now, injuries and all, and at 4-6 with some days to think things out we could see some changes.
