I was in Toronto seeing the Leafs/Flyers game last night, so I missed much of the Avs game. I saw the last 5 minutes of the 3rd and OT, so I know that the Avs got 1 point. A horrible bounce in OT saw the Avs lose, as Zanon fired it off the ref and Doan had a wide open shot in the slot to win it. The Avs outshot the Coyotes 43-40, but couldn't convert on a late PP in regulation and a PP in OT and it cost them bigtime.
Three Stars:
3. Oliver Ekman-Larsson - Scored his 3rd of the season to tie the game in the 3rd
2. Matt Duchene - Was the best Avalanche on the ice (whats new?) and scored his 3rd of the season as well
1. Shane Doan - Scored 2 goals, including the game winner in OT
Avalanche Misplay of the Game - Combination of Greg Zanon and Tyson Barrie on the OT goal, Barrie with the lazy play and Zanon with the careless turnover (albeit a very lucky bounce)
Avalanche Play of the Game - Matt Duchene's goal gets it, beauty breakaway
